Since his beloved violin was broken, Nasser Ali Khan, one of the most renowned musicians of his day, has lost all taste for life. Finding no instrument worthy of replacing it, he decides to confine himself to bed to await death.

This screening and discussion is hosted in partnership with #WomenKnowStuffToo art exhibition and program series, part of the ReACT Exhibition Series, held in Morrill Hall on the Iowa State University campus. Drawing on the permanent collections of the Iowa State University Museums, the exhibition includes works by women and women-identified makers, with an emphasis on technical command, mastery, and expertise. The exhibition and program series will highlight how women makers develop and deploy skill, accumulated knowledge, and understanding of technique and technology in creating their works.
