Dinner on the Dock

9/19/2019 / 6:00pm - 8:00pm

That’s right; you’ll be dining on art-inspired fare in a never-before-seen space used for loading and unloading freight trucks filled with valuable cargo. Hustling artwork across the country or internationally can be a real challenge. From painted canvases to sculptures, each work of art is handled with care by top-trained art handlers, arriving and departing through active industrial work-spaces like this one. Learn from the Art Center’s #1 roadie, Associate Registrar Megan Cohen, about how she safely transports precious works from the Art Center’s collection to and from the Art Center. The massive garage door will be open so you can enjoy light appetizers and cocktails outside before moving to the communal table for a two-course meal inspired by works from the Art Center’s collection.
