Four Ways to Celebrate Iowa Museum Week

Posted on Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Did you know it's Iowa Museum Week? We're fortunate to be in the company of the other wonderful museums located around the state, and to celebrate that, we've compiled four ways you can participate in Iowa Museum Week with the Art Center.

1. Enjoy lunch at the Pappajohn Sculpture Park

Pappajohn Sculpture Park

Take advantage of your lunch break and get outdoors for a stroll in the Pappajohn Sculpture Park. Or grab something to eat from one of the many food trucks that visit the park during the summer.

2. Take a free tour of the Art Center

Art Center Drop-in Tour

Stop in for a conversational docent-led exploration of the Art Center’s world-renowned collection and prize-winning architecture. Drop-in tours are held every Saturday at 1 pm, and meet in the Art Center lobby.

3. Experience our newest exhibition Ruptures

Anne Wilson Ruptures

The Art Center's newest exhibition Ruptures opened earlier this month in the Anna K. Meredith Gallery. Experience this group show on view through Sunday, September 3, 2017.

4. Start your weekend off right at first fridays

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Start your weekend off right with the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in the Art Center's courtyard! Enjoy complimentary light bites by Chef's Palette, cash bar, and world-class art and music during First Fridays.
