It’s Fun for Families to Visit the Art Center

Join us for these family programs that include viewing a work of art in the museum and then using the work as inspiration for activities in the studio. The smART Family Sundays are designed for parents and children ages 5 and older. Please plan for each adult to work with no more than two children. All materials are furnished and advanced registration is required.

Eight Activities for Families is a guide filled with creative suggestions for families to interact with artworks at the Art Center.

Family Fun Time is a station, located in the Art Center’s lobby, which provides games, books, and creative opportunities for family interaction. This project has been funded in part by a Connecting Kids and Culture grant through the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation.
