Photography Instructor

Call for Volunteers

Volunteers are needed between 9 am and 3 pm on Tuesday, May 5 to help prepare children’s artwork for the Nurturing A Student’s Vision exhibition at the Des Moines Arts Festival.
Volunteers will measure and record the dimensions of each submission.

Big Hair Ball 2015 Committee

Interested in getting involved with Art Noir's Big Hair Ball? The event's organizing team is looking for
a group of dedicated committee members to help plan various aspects of the event, including salon,
runway, boutiques, decor and marketing. Volunteers during the August 15 event also are needed.

Docent Program

Become a docent and learn more about the world of contemporary art. A docent is a museum-trained volunteer who conducts tours at the Des Moines Art Center and Pappajohn Sculpture Park for children or adults. The word "docent" is derived from the Latin word docere meaning "to teach."

Interested candidates must have an active e-mail account and be comfortable with digital communication. Candidates must be able to attend training classes every Thursday from 9:30am-noon and be available to lead at least one tour per week.
