IOWA ARTISTS 2005

Iowa Artists 2005 is the 55th project in the Art Center's annual "Iowa Artists" series, established in 1949. Selected from more than 250 applications, this exhibition presents new work by eleven emerging artists that display a discernible energy, freshness of vision, and exceptional promise. They are Jamie Burmeister, Nathan Carder, Tova Carlin, Amze Emmons, Jessie Fisher, Andrew McCormick, Michael Perrone, Brian Roberts, Lee Emma Running, Jean-Marie Salem, and Pete Schulte. Iowa Artists 2005 offers a lively exhibition of painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed-media work, and site-specific installation.

Iowa Artists 2005 is organized by Patricia Hickson, associate curator and downtown gallery manager.
