Educator Resources
The Art Center and Pappajohn Sculpture Park are great resources to supplement an art history, architecture, or studio art curriculum. If you are interested in taking a guided tour of the Art Center
or Pappajohn Sculpture Park please refer to the guided tour page.
The Museum Education Department creates Educator Guides every school year; the information is aimed at an upper elementary age and includes images of the architecture and artwork, questions to ask while viewing the artwork, and art projects related to a few of the works of art. Download the Educator Guides found below by clicking on both the text and image files.

In addition to guided tours of the Art Center, we can offer a hands-on studio experience (depending on studio availability). Studio experiences, paired with a guided tous, are tailor-designed to maximize connections with your curriculum. Please fill out this form and state that you want an art project in addition to a tour.
The Art Center participates with Connecting Kids and Culture. Please contact the Museum Education Manger by e-mail or 515.271.0328 for more information.
