CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
Studio art classes and workshops are available for students of all ages. The studio program was established in 1948 with the opening of the Saarinen building. Classes are offered in painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry, mixed media, and a variety of other media as well as art appreciation. Students may enroll in thirteen week terms in the fall or spring. Summer classes consist of a six week term for adults and a ten week term for children.
The Art Centers visiting artist teaches a variety of drawing and painting classes to adults and teens. This two-year position also includes projects in the community working with groups on art related activities.
The faculty of the studio program consist of working artists and art instructors from the community who demonstrate outstanding ability in teaching and/or artistic expression.
