The Picture of Dorian Gray

6/12/2016 / 1:30pm

110 minutes / Not rated

In this gothic drama based on Oscar Wilde's novel, an innocent young man pays a horrifying price for his obsession with his own youth and beauty. As he grows older and pursues a life of vice, his appearance remains unchanged, but his likeness in the portrait ages and reflects his degeneracy. Essentially a black and white film, The Picture of Dorian Gray bursts into Technicolor whenever the portrait is shown in close-up.

This film is presented as part of the exhibition Glenn Brown and the Artist's Choice Film Series.
